Job Summary
Responsible for processing and accepting payments for the purchase of items, answering general questions about the store and its merchandise, welcoming customers to the store, and assisting customers.
Work Schedule: Part-time, generally between the hours of 9am and 5pm Monday-Saturday
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $11.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week

Duties
Operate a Point of Sale (POS) Terminal to document sale of merchandise
Process cash, credit card, and check transactions
Greet customers, answer questions, and provide assistance as needed
Answer telephone and provide store information, directions, etc. to callers
Maintain orderly and clean purchase and showroom areas
Direct pricing and operation questions to ReStore Manager or designated staff
Regularly communicate with ReStore Manager regarding sales issues and problems
Greet donors, assist with unloading donations and receiving them into the store
Assist in stocking the store with properly priced inventory and in keeping the sales and storage areas organized in a clean, attractive manner
Exhibit positive working attitude by demonstrating respect for fellow workers, donors, and customers
Assist customers with transporting purchases to their vehicle when needed
Perform such other tasks as requested by the ReStore Manager or ReStore Assistant Manager to facilitate a positive customer and volunteer experience at the ReStore
The ability to bend, reach and stand for long periods of time
The ability to repetitively lift and move 35-50lbs
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
At least 1 year of experience in Retail and/or Customer Service
Familiar with computer technology related to POS retail systems
Excellent customer service skills
Proficient use of Microsoft Office software and internet/social media
