ReStore Truck Assistant

Description

It is the responsibility of the ReStore Truck Assistant to perform pickups of donations from donors’ homes and places of business throughout Hamilton County and to serve as an effective ambassador in the community for Habitat for Humanity. This position reports to the ReStore Operations Manager.

Duties

·        Assisting the ReStore Truck Driver to pick up donations as scheduled per the direction of the Donations Manager and transport without damage

·        Upon return to the ReStore, unload donated merchandise and assist with placement in the store or receiving area

·        Provide donation receipts to each donor and return copy to the ReStore Manager

·        Consistently provide donors and customers with an outstanding customer service experience

·        Must recognize that conduct behind the wheel reflects on Habitat

·        Assist with keeping trucks clean and in good repair

·        Operate forklift from time to time as directed

·        Must always exhibit a positive attitude and spirit of cooperation with fellow workers as well as donors and customers

·        Assist with various tasks or projects as may be assigned

Required Qualifications

·        Must have a valid Driver s License and a good driving record

·        Must be able to safely and consistently lift in excess of 75 pounds throughout the workday

·        Excellent verbal and written communications skills are essential

·        Be available to work flexible daytime hours Tuesday through Saturday

·        Background check and drug screen required

 

Preferred Qualifications

·        Three to five years of prior Customer Service experience
