Keller-Williams Realty Is Sold on Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga!

The Keller Williams Realty team in Chattanooga is now partnering with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga to support Habitat’s ReStore, and ultimately help more families attain homeownership.

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga’s ReStore, opened in 2004, features new and “gently” used building materials at 50-75% off retail. Proceeds from ReStore sales support Habitat’s efforts to transform Chattanooga by making home ownership possible for low-income families.

The most visible sign of the new partnership between Keller-Williams and Habitat is the late model 22ft box truck purchased with funds donated by Keller-Williams team members in Chattanooga. The truck bears signage for the ReStore, as well as the legend – “Keller-Williams is Sold on Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga.”

“The truck is a major blessing for us,” says Tina Cox, ReStore Manager. “We are able to pick up larger items, goods on pallets, and to do more pick ups at a time, which helps keep the flow of goods going into the ReStore.”

In addition to the truck, Keller –Williams team members are helping grow the ReStore by assisting with marketing and building relationships. “The ReStore is one of Chattanooga’s best kept secrets,” says Cox. “It benefits the community by keeping useable goods out of the landfill, helps investors, home and business owners stretch their budget and repair or improve their properties, and supports Habitat’s work of making homeownership available to low-income families.”

“We are grateful to the Keller-Williams team for catching the vision of the ReStore, and for giving their funds, time and ideas to help it grow,” says John Atherton, Habitat’s Executive Director. “Keller Williams has a strong commitment to family and community and we are proud to be partnering with them to transform Chattanooga.”

“To whom much is given, much is required,” says Robben Mathews, Team Leader with Keller-Williams in Chattanooga. “Keller-Williams came to Chattanooga just two years ago, and we have become the #1 realty office in that short time – we have have been given so much, that we want to give something back to Chattanooga.” When the idea of partnering with the ReStore was brought up they realized it was a perfect match, says Mathews. “It is a win-win for us and for Habitat – getting to a win-win is what Keller Williams is all about!
