How It Works
The Habitat ReStore is directly connected with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga. The store runs fully on donated goods, and all funds raised go toward building affordable new homes in partnership with our homeowner families. Our ReStore stocks high-quality, low-cost home improvement materials, including new discontinued or overrun items direct from manufacturers and distributors, as well as gently used pieces salvaged from renovations.

The Habitat ReStore is truly a Win-Win-Win situation! Contractors, renovators, manufacturers, and distributors can receive a valuable tax deduction for donating goods to our store and avoid paying landfill disposal costs they might otherwise face. At the same time, huge amounts of material are diverted from area landfills, cutting taxpayer cost and working to preserve our environment. Donated items are re-sold in our store at 50% to 80% off of their retail cost, which provides a means for families on a budget to improve the condition of their homes. Finally, all sales at the store raise money to build new Habitat homes, and that is, after all, what we’re all about!
